Background
Allan Hayes holds a B.A. and a Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge and is a
Chartered Mathematician and a Fellow of the Institute of Mathematics and
Its Applications. He has held positions at MIT, Purdue University, and the
University of Leicester and is now an independent trainer and consultant.
Dr. Hayes has over 10 years of experience working with
Mathematica. Clients
for his training courses, workshops, and demonstrations have come
from universities, business, and industry. He is an Associate Editor
of Mathematica in Education and Research,
to which he contributes
a programming column; is a frequent contributor to MathGroup, the
Mathematica user group; and has published numerous papers on
using and programming Mathematica.

Dr. Hayes has used Mathematica since 1988 and has been a
Mathematica consultant since 1992.
