Features: webMathematica Support

Note: webMathematica support is provided as a free plugin for Wolfram Workbench. See the support pages for download and installation instructions.

Workbench provides some important help for webMathematica, including server controls, webMathematica projects, and the full webMathematica documentation.

A webMathematica project collects all the different components of your work in one location. Projects can include web content such as HTML pages and images as well as webMathematica JSPs. In addition, they can hold any Mathematica code that you want to execute in your server. Keeping all your material in a project gives you many benefits, such as being able to archive your work with source control, compare files with previous versions, and search through all your code. It also lets you continue your work even while deploying updates to the server.

More Details

The webMathematica server controls allow you to start and stop the server as well as deploy the project to the server.

When the server is launched, its output is copied to the Workbench console view. This helps you track down any problems that might have resulted when setting up the server.

When you deploy your webMathematica project to the server you can test it with Workbench's built-in web browser. This saves you the time of updating your server whenever you want to test your work, resulting in a faster development cycle.

For details on installing webMathematica support to Wolfram Workbench, see the support pages.
