How is Mathematica for
Students different from the professional version
of Mathematica?
Mathematica for Students
is a fully functional version of Mathematica
but at a low student price. It runs at the same speed, produces the same output,
and is identical in functionality to the professional version of Mathematica. Its
distinctions include the following:
- Mathematica for Students is for exclusive sale to
students enrolled at accredited educational institutions for use
on their own personal computers. Proof of enrollment is required
at the time of purchase.
- Registration and a password are required to
use Mathematica for Students. To register Mathematica
for Students and to receive an activation password, students
must go to the Wolfram Research product registration page
or contact Wolfram Research
via phone, email, fax, or postal mail.
- Mathematica for Students has an encoded footnote that prints at
the bottom of every document page. This "Printed by Mathematica for
Students" footnote cannot be eliminated.

I'm searching for a program that will show
step by step how my equations are solved. Does Mathematica for Students have this
capability?
Unfortunately, Mathematica will not provide step-by-step
explanations for your solutions. However, a program could be written in Mathematica's
high-level programming language to provide this feature.
Calculus
WIZ, an interactive homework helper based on the most widely used
