What's New about Mathematica CalcCenter?
Data analysis now up to 70 times faster The
inclusion of state-of-the-art algorithms
allows Mathematica CalcCenter to
match Mathematica 5's record-breaking
speed. It's not just faster than before--larger
problems than ever before can be handled in the same
memory. |

New-generation optimized numerical solvers for
ordinary and partial differential equations
Improvements to speed and robustness are supported
with new classes of solutions such as differential
algebraic equations. |

Fully optimized support for Mac OS X A
native Macintosh OS X version is now
available. Documents created in Mathematica
CalcCenter are fully portable between the
Macintosh and Windows versions and can also be used
with Mathematica Professional for Macintosh,
Windows, Linux, or Unix.
Support for computations with exact fractions
An optional setting allows fractions to be returned
instead of decimal values, e.g. 1/12 instead of
0.08333333333.
New vector and array variable support
Problems involving vectors and arrays can now be
specified using a single variable, rather than having
to enter an equation for each component. This makes
problem specification and readability much
easier.
New import and export formats
New image import and export formats include dense data
formats STDS and FITS, sparse data formats
Matrix Market and Harwell-Boeing, raster graphics
formats PNG and DICOM, and vector formats SVG, STL, and
DXF can now be imported.
Improved export of XHTML
Creating web pages in XHTML now automatically
generates cascading style sheets.
Extended copy and paste on Windows
Improvements now make it easier than ever to use your
typeset formulas in other applications.
Over 50 improvements to quality and robustness
Quality has been a defining characteristic of Wolfram
Research software, and this new release maintains that
philosophy. Quality improves with each release. If you
are using software from a company that thinks that
only new features matter and has let quality decline
with each release, consider switching now.
User interface improvements
Design has been streamlined and improved for
usability. |
